Continuation of previous post:

5b: In our community:
What sort of effects are there on
- people such as families, various individuals (people of various age groups):
- animals e g pets, stray animals, birds etc;

- the environment
Who has to pay for repairs to vandalized property on public/ private property?
How does vandalism harm the people, animals and the environment?

Ans: It would be difficult for students to concentrate on their studies and adults who are doing their work. They would be affected by the vandalism and might be tempted to do the same.
Pets might get lost if the surrounding looks very unfamiliar to them and when they don't see their owner. The government has to pay for repairs made by the vandals. Vandalism would get you into trouble like paying fines. More pets would become stray if they dont recognise their homes and the environment might look dirty and messy with the vandalism.

6: Reflection:
-What sort of messages does vandalism give to visitors to the school?
- Do you think the vandalism identified gives the school a good image?
- Do people feel safe when they are near this/these areas?
- Are class rules/ school rules important? Give your views.
-How does vandalism breach these rules?
- Comment about the vandalism Act. (for Express students only)

Ans:

7: Conclusion: From all the infomation you have gathered explain how you can make our environment i e your schooland community a better place to study and live in.

Some questions to consider are:

-What are the consequences of vandalism?

-Why is it important to respect one another's property and feelings?

- How will you feel if you were the victim?

-Suggest measures your group can take to prevent vandalism

a. in your classroom/ school? b. to the environment?
